The energy modernisation of the Palatinus and Paskál spas in Budapest has been completed by the beginning of the summer season, for a combined cost of HUF 162 million, Budapest spa operator BGYH said on Sunday.
The projects were funded using EU sources and government grants from the Széchenyi 2020 Environment and Energy Efficiency Operational Programme (KEHOP).

In the Palatinus spa, 419 solar panels of 300 W each now contribute 10% to power supply on annual average. The project cost HUF 31 million, including HUF 50 million in nin-refundable grants.

At the Paskál Spa, modernisation cost HUF 98.5 million, including HUF 79 million in non-refundable grants. The solar system, which consists of 727 panels of 275 W each, generates more than 10% of annual power use, BGYH said.
