Interest in Demján Sándor Capital Programme so huge that admissions had to be suspended
According to a statement by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI or MKIK in Hungarian), this step is being taken to ensure the responsible and predictable use of resources, as well as the thorough and professional evaluation of applications. The DSTP is a programme launched by the Ministry of National Economy and administered by the MKIK. MKIK Capital Fund Management Ltd will be responsible for its operational implementation.
This decision only applies to new applications. Ongoing applications will continue to be evaluated, and the programme will operate without interruption.
The current rate at which applications are being submitted suggests that the available funds may be exhausted sooner than expected. The programme's investment period remains unchanged until 30 June 2026, or until the available funds are exhausted. Interest in the programme has been much higher than expected in recent months, however, partly due to a 19-stop professional roadshow based on the national chamber network and the accompanying communication campaign. Preliminary screening has revealed that more than 1,000 businesses meet the programme's eligibility criteria.
They emphasised that MKIK Capital Fund Management Ltd., which operates the Demján Sándor Capital Programme, will inform interested parties in advance of any future application opportunities.
