Price of diesel is to be raised in Hungary on Wednesday

Hungarian oil and gas group Mol will raise the wholesale price of diesel by HUF 3 per litre as of Wednesday, while the price of 95-octane gasoline will be left on hold.
  • The price of diesel will be raised by HUF 3 per litre to HUF 399, while the price of gasoline will remain unchanged.
  • The last time fuel prices in Hungary changed was last Wednesday, when the price of diesel was lowered by HUF 4 per litre to HUF 396, and the price of gasoline was cut by HUF 6 to HUF 391.
  • Motorists may find differences of up to HUF 50 per litre at the pumps, depending on the location and pricing strategy of the given petrol station.
  • The average price of gasoline reached its peak in early April 2012 at HUF 451 and the price of diesel was the highest at HUF 449 on average in mid-January 2012.
