Alex Miller

Alex Miller is a Managing Director and Head of Citi Institute, Citi’s premier non-independent thought leadership unit. Building on more than a decade of market-leading insights, the Citi Institute focuses on analysing key trends that impact Clients at the intersection of Finance & the Global Economy and Digital Innovation & Technology. Between 2002 and 2006 Alex worked in US markets. Alex was subsequently based in Tokyo for 10 years, becoming Head of Equity Markets for Citi Japan. He joined Citi Global Research in 2017, and subsequently joined Citi Global Insights in 2023. He was asked to lead Citi Institute in 2025. Alex has a First-Class Honours degree in Oriental Languages from Oxford University
