Doru Lionachescu

Doru Lionachescu, 44, one of Romania’s most reputed bankers, is the founding partner and CEO of Capital Partners (www.capitalpartners.ro), the country’s leading independent investment bank. Under his leadership, Capital Partners grew to over 500 million euro of M&A, real estate acquisition and corporate finance transactions successfully closed this year alone.
Before starting Capital Partners, Mr. Lionachescu was Deputy CEO of Bancpost, one of the largest banks in Romania, and Vicepresident of Citibank. He started his banking career 15 years ago with the Dutch ING Bank. He is an MSc in Telecommunications and holds an Executive MBA jointly awarded by University of Washington, Seattle, and the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
