The ESG law has laid the groundwork for most large companies in Hungary, not only those of public interest, to comply with new criteria, interpret and manage their environmental and social risks, and better understand the externalities of their operations and processes. The ESG and sustainability reports are part of domestic regulations, while the EU Taxonomy, CBAM, and CSDDD introduce new expectations from international regulators. ESG is no longer just an empty acronym; it has become a comprehensive framework that encourages every CEO to conduct a thorough due diligence of their company’s operations. The first session of the conference focuses on ESG criteria in financing, risk management in practice and reporting, ratings, investor attitudes, compliance, and expectations.
How? – This will be the main question of the morning of the conference. The second session focuses on sharing the experiences of companies, consultants, and market participants. Furthermore, there will be a discussion about data collection, measuring indirect emissions, communication with suppliers and partners, the challenges facing large companies, and the preparations of companies that need to ensure compliance.
ONLY AVAILABLE FOR REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS!
During the lunch break, we will organise a networking event, which is open to pre-registered participants, where the insights and opinions of the attendees will take centre stage. Conference participants can join various topics and thematic tables, where they will explore the most important issues with the help of our expert table leaders. The time has come for collective thinking!
Table 1: The Importance of Social (S) Factors in Effective and Fair Companies Moderator: Gréta Nagy, Dandelion Group, Managing Director
How can ad hoc programs become a strategic approach?
Who should be responsible for employee training?
Whose responsibility is employees’ physical and mental well-being?
Why should we focus on this now (when there are other pressing issues)?
Table 2: ESG Is More Than Just a Checkbox – But How to Avoid It Becoming a Burden? Moderator: Zsófia Tomaj, Vantage Point, CEO
Sustainability reporting and ESG disclosures are painful and costly. It's unclear who should do what. But what if we could turn this process into something we are satisfied with? Participants at this thematic table will walk away with an ESG roadmap checklist. Let’s share our experiences and create this list together!
Table 3: Thinking in Ecosystems & Augmented Reality Moderator: Tibor Remete, Super Channel, Strategy and Creative Director
Regenerative business
Network superpower
The interdependence of stakeholders in sustainability
Curiosity – Exploration – Sharing – Trust – Partnership – Impact
The roundtable discussion is available with prior registration. You can only reserve your place in the discussion if you already have a ticket for the event. Depending on availability and cancellations, we will also offer the opportunity to register for the tables on-site. We expect max 8 participants to join each roundtable.
When searching for a green path, most start with simple solutions, making short- or medium-term investments in areas like energy efficiency and mobility or taking advantage of the benefits offered by digitalisation. The third session focuses on established practices that have already proven effective in reducing carbon emissions, advancing the green transition, and promoting social sustainability. Let’s explore the possibilities of the transition and the best practices together!
Beyond a certain point, further reducing already lowered emissions becomes much more challenging, as does implementing long-term investments, typically involving high costs, after the green projects that initially delivered impressive results. The fourth session of the conference focuses on advanced-level topics, including the implementation timeline of the 2050 goals, elevating net-zero targets to a strategic priority, and the importance of forming partnerships, which is one of the most challenging steps, yet they are an essential requirement for greening the entire supply chain.
