The “Construction Industry Person of the Year” award was launched in 2019 by Market Építő Zrt. and Portfolio Group with the firm aim of granting distinguished recognition to professionals who have delivered outstanding performance in the Hungarian construction industry in a given year, inspiring both the awardees and other industry players committed to quality and professionalism in the years to come. Prizes
The award is offered jointly by Market Építő Zrt. and Portfolio Group.
The prizes awarded to the winning professional:
- A unique, custom-designed statue
- An invitation to participate in a professionally relevant panel discussion at a conference or club event organised by Portfolio
- A featured professional interview on the pages of Portfolio.hu
Judging and Award Ceremony
From the applicants, the experts from Market Építő Zrt. and Portfolio will create a shortlist of four candidates in the first round. From the four-person shortlist, the exclusive professional jury of the "Portfolio Construction Industry 2025" conference will select the winner, the Construction Industry Person of the Year, through a secret vote. The final winner will be announced at the 2025 Construction Industry Conference.

Conditions for Award Application
We invite applications from professionals working in any area of the construction industry for the award. Application period: From 6 January to 14 March 2025. The application must include a presentation and summary of the applicant's consistently high-level professional work over the past year and/or a unique achievement.

Legal Terms
The award is non-transferable and cannot be converted into cash. The organisers reserve the right to declare the application process void. Applicants warrant that the intellectual work submitted in their application is their sole and exclusive work and that they will not submit any product that is wholly or partly the intellectual work of another person. The applicant shall be liable for all material and non-material damage, costs, and damages arising from any breach of this warranty.
By submitting their application, applicants consent to the processing (recording and use) of the data provided on the Application Form by Net Média Zrt. to contact them. The data will not be transferred to any third party other than the designated controller, nor will it be used for any other purpose.
