Dr. Péter Grabner

1993: Graduation from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of Budapest University of Technology, majoring in High Voltage Current, at Electricity Section. 1994-1997: Doctoral studies at the same faculty. 1998: Graduation from Finance and Accounting College as engineer with certificate in economics. 2000: defended doctoral dissertation and obtained PhD.

Work Experience:

1998-2001: different companies of Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group. 2001-2012: Hungarian Energy Office. 2003-2011: head of Department of Electricity Licensing and Supervision. 2011-2012: Vice President of the Office. 2012-2014: energy expert, provided companies with consultancy services, including CEO of FŐMTERV Mérnöki Tervező Zrt. 2013: senior energy consultant of the President of the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority. From December 2014: Vice President for Energy at the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority.

Public mandates:

Guest lecturer at Department of Electric Power Engineering of Budapest University of Technology and Economics and at the International and Regional Studies Institute of University of Szeged. Main research areas: energy policy, reliability of electricity systems, operation of ancillary services and of electricity market. Author of numerous domestic and international professional publications.
