Gábor Kovács joined Messer in 2010, starting his career as a service engineer responsible for the operation and development of SMR-based hydrogen plants. Later, as Hydrogen Plant Manager, he oversaw the maintenance, continuous development, and successful regulatory inspections of Messer Hungarogáz’s two fully automated hydrogen production facilities. From 2020, he worked at a general contracting company on the preparation of large-scale investments, and in 2021 he was actively involved in the design of a green hydrogen plant. In 2023, he rejoined Messer as Head of the Hydrogen Business Unit. His main objective is to ensure that the company provides the technologies and expertise needed by both domestic and international market players to drive the development of the new hydrogen economy and to contribute to building a truly sustainable hydrogen value chain. Gábor holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Environmental Protection from the College of Dunaújváros (2007), and in January 2023 he earned a postgraduate degree in Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Technology from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Pécs.
