Gergely Jákli

Gergely Jákli is the Chairman-CEO of Paks II. Ltd., the company which implements the green investment of the century in Hungary. The state-owned company is responsible for the construction and operation of the two modern nuclear power plant units in Paks. His management strategy is to continuously develop the trio of professionalism, efficiency and international perspective. He took over the management of Paks II. in autumn 2022, before his appointment he was the Chairman-CEO of the Hungarian Export-Import Bank Ltd. from 2018 to 2022. He started his career in finance, banking and corporate financing in the commercial banking sector, working for K&H and Budapest Bank Group, where he gained experience in all areas of corporate finance. He managed many power plant projects in Ghana and in Indonesia. He graduated from the Faculty of Accounting and Finance of the Budapest School of Economics in Zalaegerszeg and in 2009 he also graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Pécs. Since 2019 he is a member of the board of the Hungarian Joint Venture Association. He is married and the father of an eight-year-old son.
