Sustainable World 2026
8th September 2026 Marriott Hotel, Budapest Budapest

With unbroken momentum and a growing interest and attendance, we are making Sustainable World 2026 - The conference for the companies of the future a tradition. The event is now also an industry gathering, bringing together representatives from different sectors to discuss ways to achieve sustainability goals and tangible results. The unquestionable importance of sustainability efforts and solutions, and their critical role in the economy, was the subject of curious looks at the first Sustainable World conference 7 years ago, but now it is undoubtedly an integral part of business life and corporate strategies. The business world is being forced to constantly adapt and innovate by challenges such as changes in the regulatory environment, geopolitical tensions, transition and physical climate risks, and changing consumer and investor demands. Rapid reaction, adaptation and flexibility are key words that companies have had to experience from several angles. The maturity of the domestic market is demonstrated by the growing number of players who are already seeing the benefits of being at the forefront of sustainability and looking to the future with a solid foundation. The event has become a primary forum and meeting place for green industry players, those who are shaping the green economy with a strategic vision and commitment. The Sustainable World conference will address the most topical issues by industry, the issues that are currently driving the economic players in ESG, green finance and sustainability.  Unmissable topics at the conference include the green economy, ESG - both regulatory, reporting and strategic, green finance, financial sector expectations, forward-looking investment decisions, the latest developments in the green energy market, energy efficiency and sustainable business practices.  This was our Sustainable World 2025 conference:

Hungarian SMEs Gaining Momentum
9th September 2026 Marriott Hotel, Budapest Budapest

Today, constant change has become the new normal, and SMEs have become true survivors. The economic and technological rollercoaster of recent years has taught domestic businesses that flexibility is not merely an advantage, but the only guarantee of staying afloat—they react lightning-fast to market trends and consciously adapt their business models. This remains true today, as the Hungarian economic and financing environment is currently on the verge of significant transformation. The rules for utilizing EU funds are changing, new forms of financing are emerging, while companies must face increasingly complex legal, organizational, and operational challenges. How should they adapt their management strategies to ensure growth and competitiveness? What opportunities does the new funding cycle offer? What financing sources can they rely on in the coming years? How should they prepare to adapt? The conference aims to provide practical guidance to Hungarian businesses, local governments, and nonprofit organizations on how to manage the economic, financial, and regulatory challenges ahead and how to capitalize on opportunities for growth.

Back to Europe 2026
6th October 2026 Hotel InterContinental Budapest Budapest

Hungary is "back on the European map" after the April parliamentary elections, with the new government promising a more market-friendly economic policy and a more pro-EU foreign policy. This has also been reflected in the strength of the forint and Hungarian government bonds in the markets. The next few years could be a time of rapprochement with Europe and the possible introduction of the euro, which will affect the lives of all economic players. How can companies prepare for the introduction of the euro? What are the challenges for economic policy? How different the economic environment might be if we really do pay in euros - we are looking for answers to all these questions. We look at other countries' experiences of adopting the euro and the lessons and pitfalls that can be learned.

Private Health Forum 2026
10th September 2026 Marriott Hotel, Budapest Budapest

On the surface, everything is unchanged in Hungarian private healthcare, as if the status quo has been established: demand for private services is steady, labour shortages remain a problem and so is wage pressure, patients are coming with expectations and are increasingly informed, large providers are competing fiercely for patients and skilled labour, and external investors are still absent. But beneath the surface, the sector is boiling and the field of the big players is beginning to split: those building organically are steadily growing and developing, those scaling up are scaling down, funding is often not easy, there is a fierce battle for physician teams, new collaborations are being formed within and across the sector. It is in this context that we are organising the Private Health Forum 2026 conference, now in its 10th year as a meeting point for the private healthcare sector, where we will focus on the current situation assessment and how the Hungarian healthcare sector, including private healthcare, is currently operating. We will give space on stage to the professionals who actually run the private health sector 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, we are also focusing on the future to mark the anniversary. What will the healthcare of the future look like, what will the patient and doctor of the future be like? What will the hospital of the future look like? How will healing and treatment take place in the future? What will make Hungarians ill in the future? How can we better prevent this? Is the solution already in our pocket? What role will artificial intelligence play in this? Short and longer term perspectives. 10 years behind us, we look ahead at least 10 years. Hungarian healthcare 2036.

Trends in Receivables Management 2026
15th September 2026 Radisson Blu Béke Hotel Budapest

This year marks the eleventh edition of our debt management conference, which has become one of the industry’s key gathering points in recent years. The event’s goal has remained the same since its inception: to provide a platform for up-to-date professional knowledge, discussion of current market and regulatory issues, and the exchange of experiences among professionals working in the fields of debt management, lending, law, finance, and business risk management. Much has changed in recent years: the economic environment, customer service expectations, technological capabilities, the legal framework, and the political situation. One thing, however, has remained unchanged: the role of professional, ethical, and effective debt management continues to be crucial to the financial stability of companies. At this year’s conference, we will focus on the topics that are currently shaping the industry the most: the effects of the changing economic environment, new regulatory challenges, the potential of AI, digitalization, and automation, data-driven decision-making, and customer-centric receivables management solutions. At the event, renowned experts, market players, and practitioners will share their experiences, case studies, and forecasts. The conference also offers an excellent opportunity for networking, professional dialogue, and collaborative thinking about the future of receivables management.

Property Investment Forum 2026
22nd September 2026 Hotel InterContinental Budapest Budapest

This year marks the 22nd edition of the Portfolio Property Investment Forum (PIF), the event where the Hungarian real estate market comes together with the industry’s most influential thought leaders and decision-makers!  This year’s event will follow its familiar format but will place special emphasis on the changed political, economic, and business environment, which could fundamentally reshape what are considered the cornerstones of the Hungarian real estate market. Don’t miss the professional hub of the transformation of the Hungarian investment and commercial real estate market! Amid radical domestic political events, we must not forget the global trends influencing world markets, which naturally have a massive impact on the situation in Hungary as well. War is still raging in our neighborhood, Trump is reshaping the world with tremendous momentum, and Hungary’s domestic stance and direction require constant attention—all while astonishing technological, social, and economic transformations are taking place around the globe. But what’s next? Has the market regained its strength this year? Will the EU’s money tap run dry? Is a cleansing fire, a reset, or a prolonged wait on the horizon? The new world order that has taken shape in recent years has caused serious damage to certain market segments, while at the same time, other areas have seen tremendous growth and progress. However, this transition between the old and new worlds still seems to be dragging on, and the balance of power is still very much in flux. We may now have a better understanding of the actual damage, the specific changes, and the transformations, but it will take many years (if it ever happens) before we reach another point of stability. Rebuilding the market, placing it on a new foundation, and establishing the new normal remain our task—the task of the professional community. We must always see and seize the opportunity in change, not the danger, and today, an ever-growing body of up-to-date knowledge provides us with the guidance to do so!  There could be no better opportunity to establish the informational and networking foundation necessary for the successful development of our company, our business model, and our investments than this vibrant market—teeming with life, professional connections, and friendships— the world of professional real estate agents, where we can meet in person once again this year—now for the 22nd time— shake hands with a smile, cheerfully clink glasses, celebrate once again, and, of course, exchange views, debate, and listen to the market’s thought leaders on the most important professional and business issues.  In 2026, we will once again bring together the most important players in the Hungarian real estate industry at the InterContinental Hotel, and offer everyone a full day of sessions covering topics ranging from investments, developments, and financing, economic policy, macroeconomic trends, technological innovations, the office market, operations, energy, retail, hotels, logistics, the residential market, alternative products, and digitalization. Don’t miss this year’s must-attend event!

Future of Finance 2026
23rd September 2026 Radisson Blu Béke Hotel Budapest

The Hungarian financial sector is on the verge of radical changes, which require immediate adaptation and, in many cases, a complete shift in mindset. Our conference offers a unique opportunity to meet with industry decision-makers and innovators and prepare for the most important challenges. In our panel discussions, we will explore the impact of euro convergence and the potential adoption of the euro on the sector, as well as the expected fate of government incentives under the new administration—such as Otthon Start, the Széchenyi Card, and other loan programs. We will also provide a comprehensive overview of the paradigm shift affecting wealth management, analyzing the consequences of the wealth tax, new measures, and increasing ownership transparency, and we’ll also examine the evolving role of chief financial officers (CFOs) in the corporate sector beyond 2026. Beyond regulatory and macroeconomic issues, we delve deep into the new dimensions of the technological and social revolution. Our inspiring presentations showcase the explosive growth of financial services in a world dominated by artificial intelligence, stablecoins, and digital central bank money, while also shedding light on the changing financial habits of young people and what all of this really means for the future of our market. Gain an unbeatable competitive edge from real-world market examples and exclusive guidance: let’s shape the future of the domestic financial ecosystem together! At the end of our conference, the CFO of the Year 2026 Award will be presented. At the awards ceremony, we will honor the financial and economic leaders of the companies with the best financial performance based on their applications, which must be submitted by September 15.

Budapest Economic Forum 2026
7th October 2026 Hotel InterContinental Budapest Budapest

Since the parliamentary elections, it has become perhaps even more important than ever to assess and understand the outlook for the Hungarian economy, as well as the economic policy measures taken so far and those that may be taken in the future, along with the scope for action. What steps is the government planning to take in the coming period? How might these affect the economic outlook and the lives of businesses? What growth model might characterize the Hungarian economy in the coming years? Where will the labor and capital for the economy come from?—we will raise all these questions and piece together the picture with renowned domestic decision-makers and international experts.

Future of Construction 2026
12th November 2026 Marriott Hotel, Budapest Budapest

One of last year’s successful new professional Portfolio events, the Future of Construction conference—the premier fall networking and business summit for the Hungarian construction industry—continues. And the focus is more relevant than ever: how can we build more efficiently, sustainably, and competitively in a rapidly changing market environment and regulatory framework? The construction industry in Hungary has entered a new era in every respect. Stricter sustainability requirements, a transforming regulatory environment, the realignment of supply chains and market players, as well as the rise of digitalization and artificial intelligence are fundamentally reshaping the processes of design, manufacturing, and construction processes. Improving cost-efficiency and productivity, addressing labor shortages, minimizing errors, and ensuring the predictable execution of projects are now unimaginable without the use of state-of-the-art technologies. Artificial intelligence, data-driven decision-making, the development of BIM systems, automation, robotization, prefabrication, and industrialized construction solutions are playing an increasingly important role within the sector. The companies that will succeed are those capable of adapting quickly, integrating new technologies, and turning innovation into a real business advantage. The goal of the Future of Construction conference is to provide guidance and practical knowledge in this regard. Year after year, we showcase the construction industry’s most important technological trends, innovations, and best practices, while creating a platform for key market players, decision-makers, designers, contractors, manufacturers, and technology service providers to network and collaborate. After the challenges of recent years, the Hungarian construction industry is seeking a new equilibrium. Let’s find that balance together! Join us on this journey filled with innovation, data, artificial intelligence, and engineering creativity, and let’s build a more sustainable, efficient, and successful Hungarian construction industry for the future!

Deep Tech 2026
18th November 2026 Radisson Blu Béke Hotel Budapest

The technological race of the coming decades will not be decided by who makes the best use of off-the-shelf solutions. Rather, it will be decided by who is able to create, manufacture, and own the technologies without which others will not be able to function. A new battery that stores energy longer. A material that is lighter, stronger, or cheaper to produce than its predecessors. A drug or diagnostic procedure that provides a solution to previously untreatable diseases. A robotic system, defense technology, a new manufacturing process, or a space industry advancement. None of these are created overnight: they require in-depth research, complex expertise, significant capital, and persistent development. This is what we call deep tech. Deep tech does more than just create new products or services. It can reshape the balance of power across entire industries and build knowledge, manufacturing capacity, and intellectual property that are difficult to replicate or replace after the fact. At Portfolio’s first Deep Tech conference, we will examine how a scientific or engineering breakthrough becomes a marketable company and then an exportable industrial capability. Where do Europe and Hungary stand in the technological competition between the United States and China? In which areas do we have genuine expertise and room to maneuver, where do we depend on others, and how can we move beyond the role of mere users or assembly plants? We’ll also discuss how breakthroughs actually come about. What kind of research environment, infrastructure, funding, and institutional collaboration are needed to ensure that a promising result does not get lost in a sea of publications or prototypes, but instead becomes usable knowledge, a company, and industrial capability. Researchers, university and corporate R&D leaders, founders, investors, banks, decision-makers, and international technology players discuss AI, robotics, biotech and medtech solutions, energy storage, new materials, as well as developments in the aerospace, defense, and dual-use sectors. Through specific case studies, we’ll show where the next major technological opportunities are emerging and what role Hungary and the region can play in them. Deep Tech 2026. A forum for decision-makers who want to get involved early in the most important technological stories of the coming decades.

AI & Digital Transformation 2026
26th November 2026 Marriott Hotel Budapest

Our lives—and with them, the way companies operate—are becoming digitized at an astonishing pace; paper-based processes are disappearing, and we only visit branch offices for in-person transactions when dealing with the most complex matters; and we communicate and handle matters via digital channels 24/7. But now, the  AI revolution and the agentic AI trend are turning the digital world, internal operations, and customer-facing front-ends upside down. AI agents capable of acting autonomously, as well as AI tools and enterprise solutions that support specific business, compliance, and administrative processes, offer companies previously unimaginable speed and extraordinary potential for efficiency gains. What do we do with the hours of work we’ve gained and the labor we’ve saved? Is artificial intelligence disrupting core business as well? What is vibe coding good for? At our event for both large corporations and SMEs, we’ll be seeking and providing answers to these questions and more!
