Budapest Economic Forum 2023
The Budapest Economic Forum has become Portfolio’s most important macroeconomic conference to be held for the thirteenth time on the 17th of October 2023. At the Budapest Economic Forum, we discuss everything that concerns the actors of the economic and finance sectors at the moment, we strive to put together an up-to-date programme each year.
Mainly Hungarian company leaders, professional investors, and economic and business decision-makers participate in the conference. Among the speakers invited, the most renowned Hungarian and international analysts, experts, economists and opinion leaders appear year to year. The guests can receive fresh and authentic information about current global and domestic economic and business processes which have an impact on their companies. In addition, decision-makers tell us about their plans, the date in October can be ideal regarding 2024 prospects since approaching the end of the year, we start focusing on the future.
We will not be bored this year either since a series of important topics are already visible in the economy. The Russian-Ukrainian war is still ongoing while concerning news is arriving from the global banking system. Inflation and central bank monetary policy are also expected to remain topical issues until the autumn.

Nincsenek jó érzéseim a következő időszakkal kapcsolatban, komoly kihívások elé nézünk – mondta a Portfolio Budapest Economic Forum konferenciájának panelbeszélgetésében Sinkó Ottó. A Videoton Holding Zrt. társ-vezérigazgatója szerint jó lenne azt látni, hogy tömegesen egymást tapossák a magyar vállalkozók, de egyelőre nem látja ezt. Lassan az utolsó hónapba fordul a felkészülés a Portfolio október 17-i Budapest Economic Forum konferenciájára. Az első szekcióban neves hazai és nemzetközi szakemberek osztják meg velünk a véleményüket, míg a második részben elsősorban a vállalati kilátásokkal foglalkozunk, illetve oda illesztünk be egy állampapírpiaci beszélgetést.

Közeleg a Portfolio őszi gazdasági csúcskonferenciája, a Budapest Economic Forum, ahol a hazai és nemzetközi gazdasági kilátásokat elemezzük vendégeinkkel. Idén elfogadta a meghívásunkat Laura Papi, a Nemzetközi Valutaalap (IMF) európai igazgatóhelyettese is, és New Yorkból érkezik David Lubin, a Citi feltörekvő piacokért felelős vezető közgazdásza is.
Tovább esett, de nem került a lélektani szint alá a magyar infláció
A várakozásoknak megfelelően 20,1 százalékra esett a magyar infláció júniusban, vagyis nem ugrotta meg az újabb lélektani határt. Persze azért vannak jó hírek is, hiszen tavaly szeptember óta nem volt ilyen alacsony az áremelkedés üteme, az élelmiszerek ára pedig az előző hónaphoz képest már csökkent, amire két éve nem láttunk példát.
Tovább enyhülhet a nyomás a magyar vásárlókon, még közelebb kerülhet a kormány nagy céljának teljesülése
Várhatóan májusban tovább csökkent az infláció, a Portfolio által megkérdezett elemzők szerint 22 százalék körül lehetett a drágulás üteme, ami tavaly november óta a legalacsonyabb érték lenne. A következő időszakban folytatódhat, sőt gyorsulhat a visszaesés, így továbbra is reálisnak tűnik az év végére az egyszámjegyű infláció elérése.

We warmly welcome all interested individuals over the age of 16 who are interested in the event's professional program, would like to participate, and are open to meeting new partners and high-quality networking opportunities.
You can register for our events on the portfolio.hu/rendezvenyek page on the respective event's subpage by clicking the "registration" button. Due to GDPR compliance, we can only admit participants who have registered online in advance or on-site, and (in case of paid events) have a paid ticket to the event area. Online registration is possible until midnight the day before the event; after that, we welcome interested parties on-site, where our colleagues will gladly assist at the registration desk with ticket purchases or, in the case of free events, ticket collection.
In case of full capacity, registration on the website closes, and you can only join a waiting list. In this case, on-site ticket purchases are also suspended. Our colleagues will notify registered applicants on the list about possible participation opportunities depending on available spots.
The participation fee and other costs (room booking, extras, etc.) can be paid by bank transfer or credit card payment during the registration process. It is important to know that in the two days before the event, only credit card payment is available on our website. In the case of paid events, we cannot guarantee participation without payment of the participation fee.
On the day of the event, bank card payment is also available at the registration desk with the assistance of our colleagues.
Our system automatically sends the QR code after the payment has been received and accounted for. In case of free participation, the QR code for entry is sent immediately after registration. Please check the spam, social, and other subfolders in your email system as well. The email will arrive with the subject "Entry ticket for (event name)..." from the noreply@portfolio.hu email address.
If the QR code still hasn't arrived, please check the payment, as the entry QR code is only sent after the participation fee has been paid. After verifying and confirming the payment, please contact our colleagues at rendezveny@portfolio.hu email address. We cannot provide information by phone; in such cases, we can only help in writing.
For free events, if you still cannot find the QR code after checking all folders, please contact our colleagues by email.
In case of interrupted card payment, please contact our colleagues at the above-mentioned email address. Upon request, they can issue an invoice or help restart the process.

The official language of our events is Hungarian. For foreign language presentations and international guests, we provide live or AI simultaneous interpretation in Hungarian and English. Please check the availability of this on the information tab, and our colleagues are happy to help at rendezveny@portfolio.hu email address if you have questions.
The presentation materials, to which our speakers have given their consent, will be sent in the thank-you letter after the event. Video and audio recordings will not be shared from the event. Articles and analyses about the event from our experts can be read on Portfolio.hu, Agrárszektor.hu, and Pénzcentrum.hu.
Online registration is considered an order. Participation in the event requires prior payment of the participation fee. After finalizing and submitting the registration, we do not accept cancellations, we do not refund the ticket. The participation fee must be paid even in case of absence from the event.
After full payment of the participation fee, however, participation can be transferred. In case of a name change, please write to rendezveny@portfolio.hu email address, our colleagues will send a code with which the incoming participant must also be registered on our site, according to our data management policy. On the day of the event, on-site, colleagues can also help if a name change is necessary due to a sudden event.
