The Portfolio Self-Reliance conference is celebrating an anniversary as this is the tenth year when one of Hungary's top self-reliance conferences will present visitors with the hottest topics in self-reliance and savings.
Social and economic life have both changed a lot in just a few months as the coronavirus outbreak spread globally. This has also affected Hungarians' propensity for saving and self-reliance through lost income and market effects.
The Hungarian self-reliance market is experiencing an interesting period that is in many ways also a watershed. As retail government securities have gained ground, they have completely redrawn the future profitability and outlook of the sector. Household savings are growing, but the majority of that is absorbed by government securities, while the stock of cash is breaking one record after another, and the future of retirement savings also remains uncertain. These are especially interesting questions now in the shadow of the coronavirus, which has also shaken the previously unwavering market of retail government securities, while investment funds lost substantial amounts not just through market losses but also through capital withdrawal, and retirement savings also had to absorb significant losses.
To top it off, increasingly strict regulatory expectations and rules as well as newly entering market players and fintechs are also causing serious headache for incumbents. If the coronavirus crisis has highlighted one thing, it is that the future is in digitalisation.
The morning sections of our event will offer a hybrid professional programme where we will be looking to answer how service providers in the Hungarian savings and self-reliance market will be able to shake off the negative effects of the coronavirus, which digitalisation trends may represent the future, what will happen to retirement savings, whether the sector will be able to reinvent itself and put up a substantial fight in the race for savings, and what new approach is required in the fund manager and private banking market. All of the above are exciting questions, which will be answered at our conference by prominent leaders of the finance sector and players in the savings market. The morning programme will also be available online, guaranteeing wider access and interactivity between online and offline participants. In the afternoon, we will be offering an exciting programme for private and institutional investors that will help them make decisions on investments. The conference will continue in the afternoon with an online retail club, where market professionals will reveal to a wider audience of retail and private investors what savings and portfolios are considered crisis-proof, how self-reliance for retirement should begin, and what the most intriguing stock market stories and megatrends currently shaping the world are.

A pénzügyi és megtakarítási piacon legtöbbször a nagy változások kényszerítik ki az innovációkat, ilyen volt idén a koronavírus berobbanása és a digitalizációra való átállás. Ettől függetlenül hosszabb távon az emberek szeretik a megszokott és bevált befektetési lehetőségeket, a piaci szereplők pedig úgy látják, nagy horderejú változás ebben nem is várható a jövőben sem. A Portfolio Öngondoskodás konferenciájának záró panelbeszélgetésén a szakemberek elmondták, senki ne várjon új slágerterméket a következő 10 évben.
MNB: egy teljes generáció hiányzik a nyugdíjcélú megtakarításokból
Az öngondoskodási célú kiegészítő rendszer megerősítésével, ennek egyik lehetőségeként a már tavaly is szorgalmazott Jóléti Alapok bevezetésével tehermentesítené az állami nyugdíjrendszert és a társadalombiztosítást a Magyar Nemzeti Bank. A rendszer a munkavállalók, munkáltatók és az állam együttes részvételén alapulna. Szebelédi Ferenc, a felügyelet főosztályvezetője tartott erről előadást a Portfolio mai hibrid Öngondoskodás 2020 konferenciáján.

A megtakarítási piaci felsővezetők is többnyire egyetértenek abban, hogy az elmúlt 10 év legfontosabb piaci innovációja a MÁP+ megjelenése volt. Szó esett arról is, hogy a tavaszi koronavírus-válság rengeteg lehetőséget teremtett a piacokon, a második hullámra pedig mindenki felkészítette a tevékenységét.
MNB: a 20 ezresek kétharmadát nem fizetésre használja a lakosság
Átmeneti megingást hozott a koronavírus a hazai megtakarítások piacán – mondta Kandrács Csaba a Portfolio Öngondoskodás 2020 konferenciáján. A készpénzállomány magas Magyarországon, de nemzetközi összehasonlításban nem kiugró – jegyezte meg előadásában az MNB alelnöke. Az öngondoskodási célú termékek hosszabb ideje tartó visszaszorulása miatt azonban nem lehetünk elégedettek.

You can register for our events on the portfolio.hu/rendezvenyek page on the respective event's subpage by clicking the "registration" button. Due to GDPR compliance, we can only admit participants who have registered online in advance or on-site, and (in case of paid events) have a paid ticket to the event area. Online registration is possible until midnight the day before the event; after that, we welcome interested parties on-site, where our colleagues will gladly assist at the registration desk with ticket purchases or, in the case of free events, ticket collection.
In case of full capacity, registration on the website closes, and you can only join a waiting list. In this case, on-site ticket purchases are also suspended. Our colleagues will notify registered applicants on the list about possible participation opportunities depending on available spots.
The participation fee and other costs (room booking, extras, etc.) can be paid by bank transfer or credit card payment during the registration process. It is important to know that in the two days before the event, only credit card payment is available on our website. In the case of paid events, we cannot guarantee participation without payment of the participation fee.
On the day of the event, bank card payment is also available at the registration desk with the assistance of our colleagues.
Our system automatically sends the QR code after the payment has been received and accounted for. In case of free participation, the QR code for entry is sent immediately after registration. Please check the spam, social, and other subfolders in your email system as well. The email will arrive with the subject "Entry ticket for (event name)..." from the noreply@portfolio.hu email address.
If the QR code still hasn't arrived, please check the payment, as the entry QR code is only sent after the participation fee has been paid. After verifying and confirming the payment, please contact our colleagues at rendezveny@portfolio.hu email address. We cannot provide information by phone; in such cases, we can only help in writing.
For free events, if you still cannot find the QR code after checking all folders, please contact our colleagues by email.
In case of interrupted card payment, please contact our colleagues at the above-mentioned email address. Upon request, they can issue an invoice or help restart the process.

The official language of our events is Hungarian. For foreign language presentations and international guests, we provide live or AI simultaneous interpretation in Hungarian and English. The presentation materials, to which our speakers have given their consent, will be sent in the thank-you letter after the event. Video and audio recordings will not be shared from the event. Articles and analyses about the event from our experts can be read on Portfolio.hu, Agrárszektor.hu, and Pénzcentrum.hu.
Online registration is considered an order. Participation in the event requires prior payment of the participation fee. After finalizing and submitting the registration, we do not accept cancellations, we do not refund the ticket. The participation fee must be paid even in case of absence from the event.
After full payment of the participation fee, however, participation can be transferred. In case of a name change, please write to rendezveny@portfolio.hu email address, our colleagues will send a code with which the incoming participant must also be registered on our site, according to our data management policy. On the day of the event, on-site, colleagues can also help if a name change is necessary due to a sudden event.
