Hungary OTP increases capital at Serbian subsidiary

The Serbian Court of Registration registered a capital increase at the Serbian subsidiary of OTP Bank, the Hungarian bank has announced on Monday.
The Serbian Court of Registration registered a capital increase in the amount of over RSD 4.5 billion (4,525,974,400) at the Serbian subsidiary of OTP Bank.

As a result, the registered capital of OTP banka Srbija was increased to RSD 14.39 bn (14,389,735,180) from RSD 9.86 bn (9,863,760,780), and the ownership ratio of OTP Bank Plc. represents 96.79% currently.

Last year OTP carried out capital increases at several of its foreign units, which greatly improved their capital adequacy ratios. The Romanian arm was granted a RON 140 m (HUF 9.3 bn) capital injection and the Serbian and Montenegrin units had their subordinated loan capital converted into share capital to the tune of EUR 19 m and EUR 12 m, respectively. The current one is the second capital increase as the Serbian subsidiary within a short period.
