Suzuki, with a headcount of 3,000, made 180,000 cars at its Hungarian plant in 2019, and said this year's output is expected to be 20% smaller than original plans.
The company said that it is fulfilling previous orders and is also receiving new ones but, noting that its targets keep changing depending on market conditions and orders.
It stressed prevailing uncertainty factors due to the coronavirus pandemic. Suzuki Hungary expects recovery in the automotive sector to be faster after the curent pandemic than it was after the 2008 financial crisis.
