Schneider Electric to expand its Budapest-based regional procurement centre
Schneider Electric operates two procurement centres in Europe, supporting the purchases of the company's 74 plants in 25 countries. In Budapest, a team of 150 people is currently responsible for this task, with a total of around 6,000 suppliers.
The Budapest Regional Procurement Centre is of strategic importance, and Daniel W. Bartel, Schneider Electric's Global CPO, has also been relocated to the Hungarian capital this year to manage the global operations of the area from the Hungarian headquarters.
Schneider Electric plans to
increase the headcount of the global supply chain's (gsc) budapest-based procurement centre to 300 from the current 150 by 2023.
More senior managers will join the team in the near future.
Zsolt Veres, Chief Executive Officer of Schneider Electric Hungária Zrt., said "the local operations play an important role in the life of the company. vezérigazgatója.
