Wizz Air flight to take off from Budapest 15 hours later than scheduled
The flight to Larnaca, Cyprus (W6 2719) was to take off at 6 a.m. today from Debrecen, but the heat damaged to runway there and the operator had to shut down the airport for at least a week.
The flight has been rerouted, Wizz Air said, and the departure time changed drastically.
The same goes for a flight scheduled to take off from Debrecen on Saturday, but it was delayed only by 2 hours.
There's another flight to Larnaca on Monday morning, but Wizz Air's website shows no changes to that schedule yet, although - based on what the operator of the Debrecen airport said - it probably will soon.

The no-frills carrier announced earlier this week that it will transfer its aircraft based at Debrecen International Airport to Budapest. The relocation will take place on 27 October 2024, so the summer schedule will not be affected. Passengers will still be able to fly from Debrecen to Burgas, Larnaca, London and Rome.
