Budapest Airport reports a record-breaking first half of the year

Budapest Airport handled 9,071,236 passengers in the first half of the year, exceeding the same period of the previous record year by 15%. The June passenger numbers alone set a record, with 1,697,371 passengers representing a 9% increase compared to 2024.

London, Istanbul, and Milan were the most popular destinations in the first month of summer.

Air cargo transport also broke records: Budapest Airport handled 34,994 tonnes of air cargo in June, marking a 40% increase compared to the previous year. The first half-year cargo volume of 199,319 tonnes showed nearly 50% growth compared to the first six months of 2024.
