Hungary Finmin says no austerity package
Draskovics said Hungary’s economy was clearly performing better, with the industry’s output and export investments also showing signs of improvement.
Draskovics emphasised there was no austerity package in the pipeline. He said that the Finance Ministry was working on a medium-term economic plan, which would ensure a most optimal utilisation of EU-related opportunities. The ministry’s budgetary programme, he said, will help Hungary catching up [with the EU] and would include a three-year tax reduction scheme as well.
