Market snaps up 2008/D bonds

Hungary's offer of HUF 50 billion 3-year 2008/D bonds attracted a nearly 3.8 times cover at an auction on Thursday, the Government Debt Management Agency (ÁKK) said. The high demand sparked it to lift the accepted amount to HUF 60 billion.

The demand was sharply higher than expected in a portfolio.hu poll in the morning.ÁKK said it received bids totalling HUF 190.3 billion and placed HUF 60 billion at an average yield of 7.93%, lower than expected.
