Hungary stats office revises Nov trade gap down by EUR 14 m
According to first estimate data published on 9 January, the November trade deficit came in at EUR 203.9 million, pushing up the January-November gap to EUR 2,608.6 million.
In October the trade deficit widened by EUR 302.1 million, according to revised data (vs. EUR 292 m).
In the first 11 months of 2004, Hungary posted a trade gap of EUR 3,726 million.
Exports in November were up by 13.6% year on year at EUR 4,942 million, and imports totalled EUR 5,132 million, up by 13.1% from a year earlier.
Exports in January-November totalled EUR 45,431 million, which corresponds to a 11% increase over the same period of 2004, while imports expanded by 7.6% in annual terms to EUR 48,026 million.
The volume of exports to the European Union grew by 6.8% year on year in the first 11 months, while the volume of imports from the EU-25 was up by 1.8% in annual terms.
Imports from new member states leaped by 17.5% year on year, while exports to this group soared by 39.9% compared to January-November 2004.
Imports from countries outside the EU went up by 22.4% from January-November 2004 and exports to these countries jumped by 27.8% year on year.
