Work is still in progress, there is no decision yet weather to change the GDP growth forecast for next year, Finance Minister János Veres said on a press conference today. Világgazdaság this morning wrote that according to the paper's information the ministry will increase its growth forecast for 2008, from 2.6% to 2.9% or 3.2%, depending on the possible one-off payment equal to a half 13th month salary for the public sector workers in January 2008.
Veres said that he could not confirm these two versions, and there were more GDP growth versions than these two.
