All eyes on Dec 07 inflation in Hungary this week (14-18 January)

Inflation is undoubtedly in the focus of attention this week in Hungary. The Central Statistics Office (KSH) is set to release CPI data for December 2007 on Tuesday, and according to Portfolio.hu's poll of analysts, inflation ticked up to 7.25% in the last month of the year from 7.1% in November. Wage data for November and a press conference on the 2007 budget processes are also to be watched closely, just like construction industry figures due out on Friday.
