SPAR Hungary to revise strategy over legislatory changes, increased burdens
The event will be held by SPAR Hungary CEO Erwin Schmuck and Gabriella Heiszler, Head of Controlling and Accounting.
The company reminded in the invitation that it is “one of the defining companies of the sector and Hungary’s fifth-largest employer."
SPAR invited us to share its “plans for 2015 and standpoint on the current market trends and the new regulations."
This means that SPAR will try to copy the franchise model used by Hungarian-owned CBA, one of the biggest beneficiaries of planned legislation that will hit its multinational rivals the hardest. This is SPAR’s response to the burden the government is placing on the largest retail stores by a major hike to the supervision fee payable by food retail chains, the effective ban of stores from opening on Sundays and a law that would have retailers closed down if they are in the red in two consecutive years.
