Putin to visit Hungary in the summer
The secretary of the President of the Hungarian Judo Federation has confirmed the paper’s snoop that President Putin has on Monday accepted an invitation by the federation and he will attend the opening ceremony of the Judo Championships on 28 August, 2017.
They have learned that it will be a short visit. Putin will arrive in the early afternoon, and he will have a brief meeting with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. According to the paper, the focus of the meeting will be the expansion of the Paks nuclear power plant, for which Russia’s Rosatom will build two new blocks from a EUR 10 billion Russian loan.
Putin and Orbán last met on 1 February in Budapest. The talks were about Russian-Hungarian bilateral economic relations and the Paks NPP.
