Hungary has no plans to reintroduce ban on Sunday trading
According to pro-government daily Magyar Idők, a plea by Hungary’s Independent Trade Union of Retail Employees (KDFSZ) to reinstate the Sunday shopping ban could be discussed again by the ministries in charge of the matter.
The cabinet has been shrugging off the issue, and its stance has apparently not changed. The Government Information Center said in a brief statement that the issue is not going to be put back on the agenda.
We have already noted that we’re talking about a single trade union that goes on a media tour every other month with this issue, and that the cabinet had already made it clear it had no intention to change regulations in this respect.
