This is how Hungary plans to amend 'slavery bill'

Hungary’s ruling Fidesz party is to submit a package of proposals to the planned amendment of the Labour Code on Tuesday, said Lajos Kósa, MP of the party who jointly submitted said bill with a fellow Fidesz MP a few weeks ago. He has held discussions with employee federations on Monday.
Kósa told journalists that employers would need the consent of employees to request overtime work of up to 400 hours a year. The consent would need to be given by the shop steward in case of companies with fewer than 15 employees and by the works council if staff is larger than 15 people. The higher cap could also be enshrined in collective agreements, Kósa explained.

Kósa underlined that the new rules would be applicable only on those that work irregular hours that make up about 10-15% of those on the domestic labour market.

He also said that under the amended legislation, the number of obligatory holidays will be two days a month instead of one for those with unevenly distributed working time. This would apply to those working in plants with uninterrupted operation, those working several shifts and for seasonal workers. Those working in unevenly distributed working time can expect at least four holidays a month, one of which must be on a Sunday.
