Erdoğan to visit Hungary again

Portfolio
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Türkiye is to pay a visit to Budapest, Hungary on 18 December 2023, the press chief of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán confirmed a report by atv.hu on Monday.

Erdoğan arrives for a meeting of the Hungarian-Turkish High Level Strategic Cooperation Council. This will be a follow-up to the meeting in Budapest, which started on 20 August, the last time the Turkish President visited Hungary.

Bertalan Havasi, the PM's press chief, confirmed ATV's report, adding that

The other programme of the visit will mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Hungarian-Turkish diplomatic relations.

To celebrate this, a year-long Hungarian-Turkish cultural season will be held from 18 December.

And who knows, Erdoğan and Orbán might also have a couple of minutes to decide whether Ankara or Budapest will be the last to ratify the accession of Sweden to NATO, pending since the summer of 2022. If it's too hard, they could toss for it.
