New investor sought for Dunaferr's assets after Indian investor's bankruptcy
The liquidators would contribute all equipment, permits and buildings necessary for continued operation to the new companies to be sold. The real estate properties, including railway operation plots and the port, would not be transferred to the new companies.
To separate the buildings and real estate,
the liquidators would establish building rights for the buildings, and individual production units and main buildings would be given separate land registry numbers.
The separation of buildings appears practical because this way the environmental remediation obligations associated with the land properties will not burden the buyer.
Offers are expected until 25 April, with a participation guarantee of EUR 1.67 million (HUF 680 million) required for the two companies combined.
