CATL confirms suspending the second phase of its Debrecen investment
According to hvg.hu's analysis of the company's financial reports, while CATL previously only mentioned a review, the recently submitted report uses clearer language regarding the project's status.
The report states that Phase I of the project is progressing according to schedule with planned completion in 2025, with no changes to capacity or customer orders. However, there is a revealing statement:
Despite the suspension of Phase II, the expected completion of Phase I and customer demands remain unaffected.
At the end of June, CATL had denied news of the suspension, stating they were only reviewing the technology and investment schedule of the planned second cell factory.
