Hungary to receive 275 million cubic metres of natural gas
Péter Szijjártó said that under the contract
275 million cubic metres of natural gas will be supplied to Hungary over the next months,
making Hungary the only country not neighbouring with Türkiye that will receive Turkish exported gas.
Türkiye has always played an important role in the security of Hungary's energy supply, but until now only as a transit route, but now also as a source country, the minister said.
We are also strengthening our cooperation in the field of nuclear energy,
as the new nuclear power plant in Türkiye, which is about to come on stream, will be built using the same technology as the new Paks plant. This will also benefit from the experience gained during construction in Türkiye. At the same time, Turkish experts will also help their Hungarian colleagues in the technical inspection of equipment with a long production time", Szijjártó said on his social media page.
