Egis reports on Wednesday, the rest will follow. The central part in the reporting season will be played by OTP and MOL, presumably. Hereby we give you our first table of consensus forecasts, which will be followed by analysts views once the company’s put out their flash reports.
Analysts polled by portfolio.hu expect OTP’s second-quarter profit to around HUF 30 billion. Although the HUF 30.2 billion (IFRS) consensus forecast is below the first quarter’s record income, but still hints strong fundamentals. The profit rise is put to around 35%.
The base period for MOL foreshadows a good performance in April-June this year. While last year’s Q2 was the last bad three months for the company, MOL’s profit making ability this quarter was strong. The record profit of Q1 2004 will probably not be repeated; the HUF 44.8 billion operating profit forecast indicates a strong internal cash flow. The net profit estimate is HUF 28.9 billion, also an excellent figure.
The third blue chip, Matáv seems stable rather than growing. The consensus is on revenues of HUF 150.4 billion, an operating profit of HUF 29.3 billion, while analysts project that the net profit will marginally increase to HUF 14.9 billion.
Of small caps, Rába was still fighting problems in Q2 and plastics producer Pannonplast should not astonish with its flash report either, as it is still miles away from breaking even.
OTP and Matáv will report on Thursday, MOL’s preliminary report will be out in the open on Friday.
