Hungary’s national broadcaster Antenna Hungária (AH) reported on Thursday net profit of HUF 199 million for April-June, compared with a loss of HUF 1 billion in Q2 2003 that had been incurred on the consolidation of Vodafone.
The sale of AM-IT was the reason why AH closed the second quarter with positive results.
The improved performance also reflects changes in consolidation, including the accounting of Vodafone Magyarország, in which Antenna's stake dropped, the report said.
The company’s revenues went up by 9.3% year on year in Q2 to HUF 7.2 billion.
AH’s EBITDA was HUF 1.96 billion in April-June, 14.2% up from Q2 last year and the EBITDA rate went up 3.6% to 26.9% from 25.9%.
In January-June sales revenues increased by 4.5% to HUF 13.17 billion and the after-tax
Operating profits rose 221.9% to HUF 863 million and the company registered financial profits of HUF 474 million in the first half of 2004, compared with financial losses of HUF 2.37 billion in the same period last year.
