MOL conquers new highs - Why?
MOL investors can be satisfied with the industry's favourable environment created by the surge of oil prices to over USD 70 a barrel.
It is also positive news for MOL that State Privatisation Holding (ÁPV) said it would not part with its stake in the group this year. Moreover, MOL is expected to post profits at near-record levels this quarter over moderate import gas prices and favourable refinery margins.
With regard to import gas prices, the current rise of crude prices is not optimal anymore, and a delay in the sale of MOL's gas business may turn into a new risk factor in the fourth quarter.
Most analysts have a ‘Hold' rating on MOL shares.
