The (duplicated) turnover on the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) totalled HUF 677 billion in August, up by a mere HUF 3 billion from July, the bourse reported on Thursday.
In the same month last year, the BSE had a total turnover of HUF 300 billion, HUF 250 billion less than in the previous month.
The 12-month turnover on the bourse came in at HUF 7,645 billion, 65% more than in the corresponding period a year earlier.
Erste has retained its leading position in the competition of brokerages in Hungary, heading the Top10 chart with turnover of over HUF 130 billion and a market share of nearly 20% in August.
IEB also made it to the Top10, while ÁÉB dropped out. Takarékbank and ING swapped places.
