BUX declines 2.2% with plummeting OTP in focus

OTP shares generated half of the Budapest Stock Exchange's (BSE) HUF 20.6 billion turnover on Monday. The BUX index closed at 21,875 points, 2.2% lower than on Friday.
In the region, Poland's WIG 20 slipped 0.9%, the Czech PX 50 went down 1.1% and Russia's RTS was virtually unchanged from Friday's close.

OTP plunged 3.8% to HUF 7,550, with HUF 10.6 billion turnover, MOL went down 3.2% to HUF 22,900, with HUF 6 billion turnover, while Borsodchem edged up 0.2% to HUF 2,500, with HFU 1.36 billion turnover.

After soaring to an all-time high of HUF 34,000 on Friday Richter dropped 0.3% to HUF 33,700, and its sector peer Egis finished 1.8% lower at HUF 18,660.

Magyar Telekom was flat at HUF 999, while retail group Fotex leaped 6.3% to HUF 369.

FHB fell 1.8% to HUF 1,551, Synergon shed 1.0% and closed at HUF 620 and Graphisoft shed 0.1%, closing at HUF 1,750.
