Hungary Magyar Telekom to receive dividend from subsidiary

  • Makedonski Telekom AD (MakTel), the Macedonian subsidiary of Hungary’s leading telecoms group Magyar Telekom, has decided at its Shareholders’ Assembly on Tuesday on a total dividend payment of MKD 1.25 billion (HUF 6.37 billion at the April 21, 2017 HUF/MKD exchange rate of 5.09) for the financial year 2016.
  • According to Macedonian Accounting Standards (MAS), on a standalone basis, MakTel recorded a net income of MKD 1.25 billion for 2016, all of which will be distributed as dividend in line with the decision of the Shareholders’ Assembly.
  • Stonebridge Communications AD Skopje, which is 100% owned by the Company, is entitled to a dividend of MKD 0.71 billion (approximately HUF 3.61 billion).
