The National Bank of Slovenia (NBS) has approved the voluntary public offer Hungarian fuels group Mol made to the shareholders of Slovnaft for all outstanding shares not yet held by Mol.
Through this step, Mol aims to further simplify and streamline its ownership structure and decrease administrative burden connected to Slovnaft’s listing on the Bratislava Stock Exchange.
Currently, 98.56% of Slovnaft shares are controlled by MOL. The remaining 1.44% of shares are owned by minority shareholders, a major part being private owners. The offer was EUR 84 per share, Reuters reported. The offers will stand for 70 days as of today.
Due to low trading volume of Slovnaft shares, through the voluntary public offer minority shareholders will be given the opportunity to benefit from immediate liquidity of their shares at favorable terms, Slovnaft said earlier.
Mol rose 2% on the back of the report on Friday morning on the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE).
Slovnaft dropped 2.5% to EUR 78 on the Bratislava Stock Exchange on Thursday.
