TaxiPlus to exit Budapest taxi roster
The two travel service organisers belong to the same group, so the move is not entirely unexpected, but there has been no official statement on the decision. Taxi companies saw sharply declining revenues in Budapest during the coronavirus crisis, Világgazdaság points out. Sources from within the industry have indicated that in the long term, only 3 or 4 taxi companies could remain standing in the capital, and the big winnero f the crisis will probably be Bolt (previously Taxify).
Taxi plus had net revenues of HUF 297.5 million last year after HUF 289 mn a year earlier, while its profit increased from HUF 31.7 mn to more than HUF 70 mn.
