New concrete tile factory to be built in Eastern Hungary
The predominantly export-oriented, CO2-neutral plant will start operations in 2025 with an annual capacity of 3 million m². The production of the tiles will be fully automated, from concrete mixing, moulding and drying to forklift trucks. The finished pieces will be moulded by machines, moved by robots, packaged and prepared for delivery.
Wienerberger's Hungarian subsidiary operates as a regional production centre in several European countries. 70% of the ceramic roofing tiles produced in Békéscsaba and more than three quarters of the Kőszeg bridging tiles are exported.
