Hungarian housing market remained buoyant in the summer
The soaring property market this year is underlined by the fact that,
compared to January, the number of ads more than a year old fell by a fifth, while the number of fresh ads placed 0-3 months ago tripled, with a particularly large increase in ads 0-1 months old.
Even the heat was unable to put a stop to a rise in price. In three months, the highest increase in advertising prices was recorded in Csongrád-Csanád county (23%), but there was also a sharp rise in Tolna county (18%) and Győr-Moson-Sopron county (13%).
However, compared to May, the average price per square metre of real estate decreased in six counties (Hajdú-Bihar, Zala, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, Komárom-Esztergom, Heves and Bács-Kiskun), according to the portal's database.
Average prices per sqm decreased by more than 10% in Heves county and by 1% in Hajdú-Bihar. It is true that real estate prices in the latter county went up by 7.5 year on year due to large investments, with a slight correction starting in the summer.
