There are now 300 coronavirus patients in hospital, with 43 of them on ventilator. The numbers increased 43% and 80%, respectively, in a week.

Probably as a result of relatively high vaccination coverage, while the number of new cases is not rising as steeply as it did this time last year, the number of severe cases requiring hospital treatment is growing just as fast.

Authorities applied 8,963 tests yesterday, with a 2.74% positivity rate.
