Fuel prices to be changed again in Hungary

Portfolio
Oil prices started to fall in response to the end of the Israel-Iran conflict in the Middle East, and Hungarian fuel price tracking site reported on Friday that a further reduction in wholesale prices can be expected on Saturday.

The wholesale gross list price of petrol will be cut by huf 5 per litre and that of diesel by huf 9 per litre on 28 June.

We can currently find the following average fuel prices at the pumps:

  • 95-octane petrol: HUF 598/litre
  • Diesel: 604/litre

Retail prices may not reflect the same changes, though.

The price of petrol is still 9 HUF per litre higher than it was when Israel attacked Iranian nuclear sites on 13 June, killing several senior generals and nuclear scientists. Diesel is also 19 HUF more expensive than it was two weeks ago.
